Blocks Complete

I finished making my blocks for my quilt.  Making a miniature quilt is a lot of work!  I tried to cut some of the pieces 1/8" larger and trim after sewing.  That didn't work very well.  I ended up cutting pieces again and according to the pattern dimensions.  I also found it is a lot of work to try to get each block an accurate measurement when working with small pieces.  I tried pressing most of my seams open, but later had to press to the borders to make the blocks lay flat.  Do you press your seams open or closed?
